The Project Manager's Survival Guide provides a no nonsense look into the tasks all project managers deal with daily. It is not filled with theory. Instead, it provides practical information and perspective on how we might all better respond to management challenges when operating in the real world of project management.

Through the use of evaluation checklists provided in Appendix A, this book allows project managers to systematically assess and rate their leadership skills. The checklists are based upon successful practices in the U.S. and abroad. The model includes dimensions in personal attributes and characteristics, orientation to continuous improvement, leadership skills and abilities, use of leadership processes and creating and maintaining effective teams. The checklist provided in Appendix B allows the user to pinpoint problems and maintain focus on key areas.
