Summary: This phase focuses on early test planning, to give work and staffing insights into needed release testing such as software integration, and system, internal, and external testing.
This document will help you:
- Give insight and visibility into release testing efforts, such as software integration, system testing, internal testing and external testing.
- Allow the support and test staffs to start their preparation, negotiate resource conflicts, resolve missing equipment or software issues, etc.
- Bring the support and test staffs up to speed on the understanding the software product/system to be released, so that they can efficiently prepare accurate test suites later.
